Privacy switches

Picture of the privacy switches
The PinePhone features six switches that can be used to configure its hardware. They are numbered 1-6, with switch 1 located nearest to the modem. Their “on” position is toward the top of the phone.
Warning
It is not recommended to change the PinePhone’s privacy switch positions while the device is powered on. In particular, toggling the modem privacy switch while the phone is running can lead to modem firmware corruption. Additionally, the phone is not notified of the loss of power to the disabled part, so it may continue to assume the component is operating normally; if you switch the dip switches back on during operation, it may not automatically regain functionality.
