Pinenut (Single Page)

The PineNut is an attempt for an open source Wi-Fi and BLE module for PINE64 devices.

The Pinenut-01S module offers a complete and self-contained Wi-Fi and BLE networking solution, allowing it to either host the application or to offload all Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networking functions to another application processor.

Versions

There are the following variants of the Pinenut:

NUT-01S (form factor ESP-01S)
NUT-01M (Matter Certified)
NUT-12S (form factor ESP-12S)
Planned: NUT-15 (form factor RTL8723/AMPAK)

Pinenut-01S

The Pinenut-01S module offers a complete and self-contained Wi-Fi and BLE networking solution, allowing it to either host the application or to offload all Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networking functions to another application processor.

The default firmware runs the UART at 2000000 bps. It will accept input whilst regularly outputting:

Pinenut-01M

The Matter-certified Pinenut-01M module offers a digital output control and embedded with unique Matter certificate. User can use this ready to use module to perform IOT control (default one output and can configure up to three outputs) interoperate within Matter Home Automation network. Each module comes with unique QR code for Matter pairing purpose. Please note that this is not a hackable module and no source code provided.

Pinenut-12S

The Pinenut-12S module is a Wi-Fi and BLE5 Stamp.

Unlike the Pinenut-01S, the Pinenut-12S is castellated, allowing it to be directly soldered onto a carrier board.

Pinenut-01S USB Programmer

The Pinenut-01S USB Programmer is a companion utility for Pinenut-01S: an USB-to-serial adapter that converts the USB interface to a serial port suitable for Pinenut-01S module. The programmer allows the Pinenut-01S module to be plugged into a power bank for potable power application. It has a duplicate GPIO extension port.
